Reimbursable technical aids
In Lithuania, some technical aids
for people with disabilities or certain functional impairments may be reimbursed in accordance with state procedures. Depending on
the specific aid, the person's needs, and the established conditions, all or part of the
costs of acquiring the aid may be reimbursed.
We recommend checking before purchasing the aid whether a specific item may be
eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursement is coordinated by the Centre for Technical Aids (TPPC).
Is my selected item reimbursable?
If you are not sure whether a specific aid is reimbursable, we recommend checking the information
at the Centre for Technical Aids (TPPC) before purchasing it.

Important when purchasing in a store.
You can purchase the aid immediately and apply for reimbursement of the purchase costs later
to the Centre for Technical Aids (TPPC).
Keep the purchase documents
After purchasing, we recommend keeping:
- the invoice or other purchase document;
- other documents related to the acquisition of the aid.
These documents will be required when applying for reimbursement of the purchase costs.
Important when purchasing online.
If you purchase the aid online and it is intended for another person, you must specify the first name, surname, and address of the person
for whom the aid is intended when placing the order.
If another person pays for the item, specify the first name and surname of the person for whom the
aid is intended in the payment details.
This helps clearly link the purchase and payment to the person for whom the technical aid
is intended, and may be important when submitting documents for reimbursement.
